About Us

Key Property Management Services, Rhodes is personally run by myself and my husband. Although we co-operate with many real estate agents on Rhodes we are a completely independent business.

I have great empathy with people who, after visiting Rhodes, decide they love it so much they want to own a piece if it.  After all, it's a love affair I share too.  I came to Rhodes nearly fifteen years ago at the tender age of twenty-one.  During those first few weeks I began to realize that I had fallen head over heels in love, not with a Greek barman, but with this glorious island.  I was amazed by the cosmopolitan capital - yet thirty minutes drive down the road you could still see donkeys or herds of mountain goats.  The glorious east coast with miles of golden sandy beaches, acres of lush green forests stretching down to the dazzlingly azure Aegean.  And dotted amongst all of this, medieval castles and ruined temples.  Who could resist the island's charms?  There was someone else's charms who I couldn't resist either - I met my husband whilst representing his hotel in 1997.  We got married in the beautiful church of Aghios Nektarios (I think it was also the only church big enough to fit all his relatives in).  We now live in our own piece of paradise, up in the hills of Ladiko.  We have a stunning view down to the sparkling sea across olive groves and grazing sheep.  There's something about a Mediterranean view which is both energizing and calming - no wonder so many people seek a way to stay those extra few weeks.

The inspiration for Key Property Management Services was my brother and his wife.  They bought an old, renovated house here last year to use as a holiday home.  I was absolutely delighted with their decision and was happy to be involved in the whole purchase process (an interesting experience!).  Determined that they should enjoy every moment of staying in their new home I wanted to make sure the house was not a maintenance burden to them.  When they are away from the property they sleep easy knowing that the property is cared for and their bills paid.  When they arrive they come to a clean house, with the beds made and the fridge already on.  The person who helped turn the idea into a legitimate business was my friend Claire, whom my brother had bought the house from.  Claire had turned her creative skills and love of old Greek houses into an amazing business of her own, turning crumbling wrecks into pieces of Rhodian paradise.  She put it to me that not everyone who bought a house here was fortunate enough to have a family member to keep an eye on things.

On the practical side of things, having lived here for nearly fourteen years, I speak fluent Greek.  My husband and father-in-law are carpenters and in the last two years we have built three houses and installed two swimming pools in the family hotel.  So if you need a plumber, carpenter, builder or any other craftsman we have tried and tested a few for you!
